Barbara’s Bio
Animals have been my passion as long as I can remember. I’m currently getting my associates of science degree so I can transfer to Colorado state university and major in zoology to become a zoologist. I work at a doggy day care so it’s like I don’t work a day in my life because I do it for free. I voulenteer at dog adoption event for iResQ and foster fur babies looking for a forever home. I also volunteer at foothills animal shelter and the rabbit humane society. I have been a dog groomer in the past and a vet assistant. I have 5 years experience with dogs and cats. I also have my own dog walking business :-) I have 5 dogs as my own that are spoiled rotten!

Barbara was a very caring nanny for my four children for the year we worked with her. My kids loved her and always lit up whenever she arrived at the house. She took care to learn about each of their individual personalities and ensure she had a unique relationship with each one, including researching different ways to help with their enrichment and development.
Overall, Barbara did a good job caring for four children (infant, toddler, and two school-aged kids). I believe she would be a good option for families looking for childcare. Areas of growth for Barbara are timeliness, receptivity to feedback and attention to detail. I have no doubt these issues could be resolved with the right guidance or situation.
Barbara applied to my nanny job, and we exchanged messages for about a week. She seemed like a good fit, so we scheduled a phone interview. About 15 minutes through the call, Barbara interjected and said, "I am getting another call, I will take it quick and called you right back in a couple minutes!" I was a little surprised that she chose to take another call during a job interview, but I figured as long as she called me right back it would be ok. I waited a couple minutes, which turned into 30 minutes, which turned into hours... she never called me back. I tried to contact her after this, via text, email, etc, and she never got back to me on any platform. She just vanished with no explanation.
To be clear, if she didn't want to work for me anymore based on something during our phone call, that is of course completely ok. She could have just said she was no longer interested in the position, or not accept the position if I had offered it to her (which I hadn't yet). But instead she just completely vanished on me, forcing me to just wait around for her to return my call, when it seemed she had no intention of calling me back. With a newborn, as many other families can relate to, it was very irritating that I completely wasted my time communicating with Barbara. And I want to make sure she doesn't do this to another family.
