Hi my name is Meagan !

Most of my paid professional experience has been in an office setting, as a medical receptionist, however I have accrued a lot of volunteer hours dog sitting, walking, and grooming for countless friends, family, and neighbors.

I have had dogs of my own for over 14 years, and love being able to create trust-founded relationships with them to make them feel safe and loved.

In my volunteer experience, I have :
- walked dogs of various sizes while enforcing each dog's good behavior and walking manners
- kept dogs safe by remaining alert to environmental conditions such as other dogs in the area, moving vehicles, or even a pesky squirrel that might distract them and put them in danger
- attended to sick or injured animals by securing veterinary care and notifying owners quickly of their pet's condition
- groomed pets including shampooing, conditioning, fur blow drying, combing out matted fur, and removing fleas and ticks.

The most rewarding and important skill I have learned however is being able to develop long-term relationships with clients and bonding with animals through regular contact ... and scratches !
