i had my  pup for 14 wonderful years, i recently loss her to cancer, but i try not to be sad because i was blessed to have her for so many years. as a nanny i am always helping out with the family pets, not because am asked to , but because i want to,   and i ask my employer if i could help them out with their pets. and there all but glad and relieved to have my help, because technically thats not my job discription. so daily i play with them when the children are outside, walk them while i stroll the baby,  or  play with them when the are asleep. i realize for most people their pets are like family  ( thats how i felt about my pet anyway )and love and respect is very important, and i as well would be very picky about who i would leave in charge of my pets, as i would my children. i dont have alot of training skills for i am willing to learn and implement the training that is already in place. good luck to you on finding the right sitter for your pet.
