Hi there!

I'd love to tell you a little about myself and my caregiving experience:

I love all animals! My cats Sparkles & Zorro lived until they were 15 and 19. Our dog Brandy lived until she was 16. I gave Sparkles sub-q fluids (3x/wk for 7 mo.) and oral meds (liquid & pill) to both of them. When I adopted them, they really adopted me as their mom. I am patient, positive, kind, bubbly, & gentle. I am organized, active, & creative. I do not smoke. I give animals my full attention & understand what they're communicating. In college I had a zoology emphasis & interned at a wildlife rehab as the photographer & illustrator.

If you need boarding, my mom and I live in a nice townhouse in Santa Rosa w/ a nearby dog park. We have a small fenced-in backyard and a large side-yard. I will treat your pet like family and make them feel as comfortable as possible.

Here are a couple of really special interactions I've recently had with an outdoor cat and a wild bird:

My new neighborhood has an outdoor cat! (I found out he does belong to a family already.) He's playful, loving, hyper-aware, & has one eye. The first day we met, he seemed to keep running from me, but he'd stop & look back. He wanted to show me where he lives. He even slowly ventured into our house on his own & explored! Every day he visits & waits outside for me to play with him. He communicates very well. He loves chase, hide and seek, playing with leaves, & being very mushy. He even runs up & down the trees! One evening, after playing for a couple hours, he communicated that he couldn't get in his house. While I was knocking on his family's door to let them know, he stared into my eyes with his beautiful eye, very assured & thankful.

This summer, I had a wonderful encounter with a wild bird while driving home after a tornado. While my dad was driving, I caught a glimpse of something in a flood. It looked like a wet log from a tree, but it was a young robin, drenched to the bone, stiff, & drowning! For several hours I held her in my shirt & cared for her in our car. We saved her! When trying to release her into the wild, she wouldn't walk or fly off my arm. Actually, she would climb further up my arm & lean into me, or under my legs. After gaining courage, she soared! She sang for us too. When we finally turned away, is when she flew to another tree.
