I know that a lot of folks have added a furry-member to their family over the pandemic, but now borders are opening up which may mean vacations are in your near future! GOOD FOR YOU...but just because you have a new addition that can't travel, doesn't mean you can't go on your travels!
In the past, I have done house-sitting/pet-sitting for up to several weeks at a time and even worked for a pet-sitting service as a Personal Assistant to the owner. I have been a Family Assistant/Personal Concierge and am now a preschool teacher.
When I care for dogs while their owners are gone for long periods of time, I typically spend the night because dogs like to have the constant companionship; cats not so much. With cats, I make usually a couple visits per day & hang out for a good hour or two, enough time to watch a TV program while I play with them, groom them, or just cuddle with them so they get some attention or have a lap to lay on. (Of course litter boxes get cleaned & all animals fed/watered.)
When I've cared for multiple pets (without dogs), I go to the house usually 1 or 2 times per day, depending on the need. I make the rounds to each set of animals and provide care as needed

We loved working with Robin! We needed a sitter last minute and she was happy to help us on short notice. She fit in to our family like a charm. She understood what our baby needed (probably better than we did), and was able to keep him happy, on schedule, and well cared for. We are very grateful for her help, and happy to recommend her.
Very friendly and kind. She clearly loves babies and was gentle with ours, and she was also willing to help out around the house when we needed it! We'll definitely be thinking of Robin the next time we need someone to help with, or babysit, our daughter!
Robin was great with our 1-year old! We had just moved from New York to California, and she was able to quickly help us get settled in while she took care of him. She cooked/prepared all his meals for him (introduced him to some new things!), took him to the park everyday and generally kept him entertained throughout the day, while my wife and I worked from home. She made up fun games for them to play with whatever toys/objects were available. She also took care of our 4-year old before/after daycare. Robin also has early childhood education training that allows her to engage proactively in age appropriate activities and games for your children. Strongly recommend her.
Robin was amazing. She watched my girls three afternoons while I was out of town, picking them up from school and helping with homework and keeping them safe and entertained until my husband came home.
She was punctual, reliable, and truly resourceful during her time with them!
I'd hire her again in a heartbeat and have started recommending her to friends for her organization services!
