I am an animal lover who spent several years working directly with dogs and cats at a boarding facility, before moving into the corporate world. I love my desk job, but I often miss working with animals.
At one point I had 3 dogs, but now have one as we sadly had to say goodbye to two of them over the last two years.
In addition to my dog, I have a dwarf hamster, a bearded dragon and a 55 gal. freshwater, planted aquarium.
In my time at the boarding facility, I'd handle walks, feeding, playtime and some medication administration.
In having two senior dogs that needed medication before they crossed over the rainbow bridge, I gained more hands on experience with that. This included pills, eye drops (for glaucoma) and ointment for skin conditions.
