My first love are bunny rabbits. I have had them since I was about 12. But I also have had gerbils, dogs, tamed a feral cat, found and kept a water turtle for 20+ years, goldfish, and rescued the occasional lizard, snake, mouse, and bird over the years. I have petsitted chickens, dogs, cats, rabbits. And fostered a friend's cats for a time while she was in search of permanent housing. I am kind of the animal whisperer. Someone once hit a deer in front of me, and even though both of his front legs were broken, he let me hold his head/face until he got spooked. I currently have a Siamese mix cat who was feral and adopted me. I love animals and they seem to love me. And I have had to walk through sickness and death with my own personal pets and friends. And also had to deal with disabled and elderly pets....even changing diapers on a rabbit! I love them and animals are a part of our lives and our home and never quite leave our hearts!
