Although I was born and raised in the city of Los Angeles, that did not prevent me from owning and raising animals. My family has owned horses, dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits, tortoises, goats, and a duck. I was responsible for feeding, grooming, and nurturing these animals. As well, my neighbors owned four goats, two cows, one bull, one lama, and one pot belly pig. Whenever my neighbors would go out of town, they asked me to care for their animals. It was a treat to watch after such a wide array of livestock. My passion for animals is not all that I can offer. Please allow me to explain why I am the best fit for your household.
I grew up on a farm in the middle of the city, and I have experienced more than most men and women of the South Bay, in regards to animals. I have sown my horse's chest when she got spooked and caught a fence's stray nail while we were on a trail ride. I have removed a chunk of my horse's ear that was torn when a street dog jumped my property's fence and attacked my horses. I have removed foxtails from my dog's eye and nose. I have eased my hens out of the hiding spaces after being chased and scared by squirrels and hawks. Please note that after the initials wounds were cared for, I continued to tend to my animals until they were 100% healed.
I currently own five cats, four dogs (Australian Shepherd/Pomeranian mix, Giant Schnauzer/Flat-coat Retriever mix, Canaan Shepherd, and Blue Nose Pitbull), three horses (Morgan/Quarter/Arabian, Quarter, and Hackney), two hens, and two goats. I am very diligent when it comes to my animals- they are fed and groomed at the same time every day. Much of my experience is with livestock, but I am very confident and comfortable with the more typical domestic animals.
