I am an avid animal lover (much to my ex husband's chagrin!) and I am very patient and kind with all animals. I understand that being the "new guy" around your pets may make them nervous, timid, or even aggressive. I am mild mannered and have a soothing voice with nervous pets that helps to calm them. I let them come to me on their own time.
I have owned animals my whole life. I've had dogs, cats, birds, guinea pigs, rabbits, hamsters, turtles, fish, and even a snake. Ew. Not my favorite. ;) I've stayed with family's and friend's pets when they've gone on vacations and have had great success. I would love to meet your pets too!
