Hello! My name is Raevin and I am currently 19 years old. I am currently in college and Just ended my first year of college at the University of New Mexico. I am originally from Arizona and I am in New Mexico on an athletic and academic scholarship. My major is biology and animal sciences and I want to become a veterinarian! I love animals so much, I have one dog named, Snoopy and she is a mix between a German Shepard and a Labrador (I call her a germador). My minor is management because I want to open my own rescue center one day (It would be called Raevin's Rescue hahaha). Having as much expericne with animals possible would help my understanding of animals and learn how to interact with them more. Over the years I have been a pet sitter of many friends, families, and neighbors and this past summer was my first time pet sitting at someones house overnight that I did not know very well. They were a vercy nice family and they had four pets (two cats and two dogs). I volunteered with the Canine Cancer Foundation and was head of overlooking play time between dogs. I know a lot about animals and research on them everyday, I even asked for an animal textbook for my birthday (and a ukulele haha). I am not a veterinarian yet, sadly. However, I have helped many animals with minor injuries. EXPERIENCE: 2011: Volunteering at the Canine Cancer Foundation charity event. In charge of fun physical activities, catching loose animals from their owners, making the animals feel comfortable in their environment, and caring of dogs.Educated on past and recent animal discoveries .2011-present: Pet-sitter for other people and had to give animals medications .2011-present: Have helped neighboring pets with minor injuries. Such as: injured paws, teeth cleaning, recognizing symptoms and research what diagnosis could possibly be, splinters, water consumption, and gave helpful tips to owners on how to keep pets safe in harsh winters and summers.
