Looking for a dependable walker to care for my boy Lou.

Louie is a 6yr old Long-Haired dachshund, Louie is friendly but is new to living in the city and not use to walking on a leash.

I'm requesting just an hour of your day, this includes accessing/leaving the building, getting Louie ready for his walk (he hides when he sees the leash) to ease this process Louie will always have his harness on and treats are provided to have him come to the door where he is used to then being able to be leashed up.

there is a puppy gate that separates the front door from the main living area that has a doggy door - once he's in that area if you close the puppy gate it makes it easy to then leash him up.

Louie is shy and it may take some adjustments before the leashing process becomes swift as he's building trust with all these new changes.

Currently maxes out on a 10 minute walk - he's a bit overweight from living with someone with dementia who would double down on feeding times.
