Hi, I have three male guinea pigs who are very sweet and need some siting when I’m away for the winter holiday. They require a check in once a day and preferably in the middle of the day. The daily visit in the afternoon requires giving each of them one Vitamin C biscuit, refilling their water, refilling their hay stations so they have an abundance readily available and giving them 4 cups of fresh veggies. They require daily spot cleaning because of how often they use the bathroom. This can be done with my handheld vacuum or hand held dustpan and broom.
The daily visit will take around 30 minutes depending on how much needs to be spot cleaned
I will be gone for 11 days therefore, after the 6th day, a deep clean of their cage will be needed. One of the days between 12/26-12/29, there will need to be a 1.5-2 hour visit to do the normal daily feeding and checkup, but in addition, change out their fleece and bedding so their cage is refreshed. I will already have pads, fleece, mats washed and ready for this change so all that has to be done is all the old mats need to be placed in one of my bins so I can wash those when I come back. The already clean mats and fleeces will need to be placed in the cage to replace the discarded dirty ones.
