Both of my dogs need to go for a potty break. Not long walks, a few (3) houses down and back. Then play a few minutes and give them treats and water. Both are small and 10 years old, one has anxiety, which she will be ok after she gets comfortable with you. The other is special needs was rear paralyzed, she is almost fully recovered but needs to be specially cared for, can't do stairs (so you will need to carry her up and down from upstairs where I keep them. she walks ok, but not for long or fast walks. She doesn't potty right away, her bladder needs to wake up before she starts to go. Patience is necessary for her. this would be a weekday daily need, with every other Friday needed.
