It’s July. Summer is in full swing. Not many of us are ready to start thinking about the upcoming school year. That said, for parents, teachers and caregivers, there’s a solid reason to bump up back-to-school prep on your to-do list — Amazon Prime Day.
Why you should take advantage of Amazon Prime Day Back-to-School:
According to a recent survey, 78% of companies say they will offer back-to-school items to their list of Prime Day 2019 discounts this year. 64% of parents say they are ready to take them up on the offer.
The Prime Day sale has turned into the Cyber Monday of back-to-school shopping season. Shoppers plan to spend upwards of $500 on school items this year and 3 in 5 parents say they will get a chunk of that spending out of the way on Prime Day. To make back-to-school shopping easier this year, Amazon now has a dedicated store. This is a page you’ll want to bookmark.
Prime Day deals range and the full list of what’s available won’t be known until the day of the event. However, there are some early peeks on what will be available. For example, the Relay Smartphone Alternative (helps you stay connected without introducing smartphones so early) will be 50% off starting July 12. To take advantage of deals like this one, and thousands of others, be sure to set alerts on your Amazon App.
If you aren’t a Prime member, Prime Day should still be on your calendar. In the age of Amazon, all other retailers follow suit. Shoppers will be able to find savings across the board.
It’s important to remember that Amazon might not have all the best deals. Super savers, like the Krazy Coupon Lady, already have tips on where to look for specific needs and how to tackle price matching at places like Staples and Target.
We’ll be back on July 15 with a highlight of some of the our favorite back-to-school deals.
Get your list ready, turn on alerts and set time aside on July 15 and July 16 for back-to-school shopping. It’s worth hitting pause on the summer fun to save extra money ahead of the school season.
