I have been babysitting/nannying for infants to 12-year-olds ever since I was in 5th grade. I've always loved spending time with kids, getting to know and understand their unique personalities, and finding inspiration from their carefree spirits! I've worked with many families on a consistent basis (references upon request). I recently took a break from nannying to pursued some work in retail and social media with the brand Free People. After a year of being away, I've recognized how much joy children brought to my life and how much purpose nannying gives me. Helping raise kids into kind, imaginative, and healthy individuals has been the most fulfilling job I've ever had! A little bit about myself; I am very active and have been a dancer since I was 4 years old. I've danced both competitively and professionally. For two years I was a captain of my professional dance team where Read more I helped organize charity events, choreographed, and taught clinics to young girls for junior performances. I've also taken an interest in running and have completed 3 half marathons. I hope to train for another soon! I devote almost all of my free time to reading and working on my lifestyle and travel blog. This is my true passion because it allows me to be creative and inspire others through writing. This is another reason why nannying has been a great fit for me in the past, because it allows me to disconnect from my work online and become re-inspired by children on the days I am with them. Nannying has taught me how important it is to keep children busy. I love that I've nannied for families who live in walkable areas which allowed me to take the kids to the park, library, or even for an ice cream treat every once in a while. Especially living in the midwest, I find it important to get out of the house for some fresh air and to take advantage of the daylight at least once a day! With the older kids that I've watched I opt for more imaginative play and with younger children, more hands-on, motor-skill developing play. It has always been difficult for me to part ways with any family that I've worked with. I have fallen in love with every kid that I've looked after and still keep in touch with just about every family who has ever welcomed me into their home.
