I'm a fun loving nanny who focuses on cognitive development, creativity, kindness, and self-confidence. I've worked with children all over the northern hemisphere in both home and educational environments. I have an associate's degree in Liberal Arts along with 2 years of studying English Education at UW-Whitewater, and 3 years studying Psychology (specifically CBT) in the Netherlands. I'm also an artist who loves sharing my skills, and developing skills, with children and adults. Andrea worked full-time caring for our 3 children for 2 years, ending only when she moved out of state to Colorado. Over that time, she developed a deep and trusting relationship with each of our children. She consistently came up with ideas for art projects that our children loved. She even led group art projects at our daughter’s preschool which were a huge hit. She has a rich imagination for making up stories while playing with “stuffies” and can keep our children entertained and engaged for hours. She was always looking for ways to enrich their lives, whether through books or stories or experiences, and had the perfect balance of making them feel comfortable while also gently pushing them to do things outside their comfort zone. I trust Andrea and always knew our kids were safe with her. Further, I knew they were psychologically safe with her. She has a keen understanding of child behavior and always emphasized kindness, generosity, and gratitude. She provided far more than childcare – serving as a role model and a source of comfort and advice for our children. While we were all sad to see her go, we know her incredible expertise and warm and welcoming personality will benefit others in whatever she chooses to do. I am grateful that Andrea became a part of our family while she was here in Madison, and that she continues to keep in touch with our kids through texting, Zoom, and letters.
