Meet Maddy

Hello! I’m Maddy. I’ll be new to Whitewater this August, but grew up in Johnson Creek, so I’m familiar with the area. I graduated from high school in 2021. For the past three years, I attended UW La Crosse. I am transferring to UW Whitewater this fall to continue on my path to becoming a special education teacher. My major at UW Whitewater will be K-9 Education and Adaptive Education. I’ve worked with children since I was a child myself. I have a wide range of experience, from infants to high schoolers with disabilities. In high school, I was a mentor for a few students with disabilities and that’s where my passion for special education flourished. I’ve worked as an ABA therapist with children with autism and at the YMCA in the before and after school programs. For the past two years, I have been a nanny (20-40 hours per Read more week) for an amazing family with four children (1, 3, 5, and 7 years old). I’ve grown close with my nanny family and am going to miss them when I move. I’m looking for my next nannying opportunity with a family in the Whitewater area. I am crafty and love doing projects. Taking “field trips” with the children to the local pool, parks, library, children’s museum, petting zoo, and to lessons (tennis, gymnastics, swimming, golf, etc) are all activities that I’ve been a part of over the past two years. I can help with laundry and/or light cleaning, but my #1 priority is always to be with the children and to be engaged with them. During my free time, I enjoy being outside hammocking, swimming, and watching sports! I love animals and grew up with rabbits, dogs, and horses. I look forward to talking with you about your needs and my availability.
