Hello, my name is Kayleen, I’m 29 and have worked with children and in the healthcare industry for 10 years. I am a PNW native and I love the outdoors, where I spend most of my time exploring nature with my 14 month old son. I grew up in 4-H showing my horse, going to 4H/ horse camps and became a 4H camp counselor when I turned 18. I am infant CPR/FIRST AID certified and have been a nursing assistant for 10 years, which also provided me with special needs experience. I have had two previous nanny positions which I absolutely loved. I am calm, patient and kind. I have assisted in potty training and helped children achieve important milestones. I love working with children and helping them learn, grow and develop. I have experience working with infants and adolescents. My newest role as a mother has been such an Read more honor. It brings so much joy into my life to watch him grow and to see how curious he is. This boy LOVES to be outside which is also a passion of mine. After 14 months of being a stay at home mom, I am looking to get back into work as we have recently bought a new house. That being said, I am looking to bring my son with me to work or at least some of the time. I have been working 16 hours a week as a housekeeper, mainly cleaning vacation rentals and move out cleans but as I need more hours I am finding it more difficult to find childcare between the family I have helping me. I know it is not the standard to bring your own child when working a nanny position (or any position) and am very aware of how uneasy that can make people feel (which I understand being a mom myself) my hope is that I can find a family with a child older or close to my sons age that can understand the want to be with your child while also trying to make a living. My son is quiet and genuinely kind. If this is possible for someone I would be bringing my child own food, toys, diapers, wipes and anything he could possibly need. I can easily give my attention to another child since I have been doing that since my son was born when my sister and her kids lived with me. I hope to find someone who is willing to take the chance and understands the position I am in.
