The only way we got through it in the early days was knowing with absolute certainty that they were not only just taken care of, but they were loved by Aissa with every ounce of her being. She took care of our children as if they were her own. Aissa understood that we needed reassurance and communication, as well. As such, she would text pictures of our kids doing various activities throughout the day. She would send us videos of the kids. singing the songs, she would teach them. At pickup, she would give us a run-down of what they ate, if they went to the bathroom, their mood that day, the duration of nap, and what the kids liked and didn’t like that day. Her communication led to an unwavering level of trust that you would only find from your own family. Additionally, Aissa has a teacher mentality. In addition to speaking to our children in Spanish exclusively every day, she would diligently and patiently teach our kids the alphabet, animals (and sounds), and eventually both our kids were fully reading in Spanish even before they could reach in English. Both our kids became fluent Spanish speakers, something we hope to continue into their schooling. Aissa puts her whole soul into her work and in our opinion, it is the most important job of all. We have thanked our lucky stars every single day that we were fortunate to have Aissa taking care of our boys and any family would be so lucky to have her, too.
