Hi there, My name is Caitlin and I'm originally from Upstate New York. Since graduating with my Masters degree, I've been living and working in Virginia as a Speech Language Pathologist in the public education system (elementary and middle school). I currently provide therapy to a caseload of 50+ children and case manage 11 of those children. In this role I provide both 1:1 and group therapy, monitor progress, and advocate for services. You may be wondering why I'm interested in transitioning to a nanny role. That's a great question! I’ve truly enjoyed my time working as a speech therapist but I’ve grown a strong interest in utilizing my skills in a more personal position such as a nanny. I love the idea of working with a family where I can be an integral part of helping raise independent, well adjusted children and run a smooth home. I have many Read more years of full time, professional and personal experience working with children from preschool to school age. Prior to working in the schools, I provided specialized therapy to children on the spectrum as a Behavioral Therapist in an early intervention program for a nonprofit organization. Additionally, in my spare time I have helped many families with after school, date night and weekend childcare. I’ve felt comfortable working with children from a young age since I grew up with my mom running an at home daycare. I love working with children and find it to be a very rewarding career. Time management, preparedness and organization are skills that I practice and can confidently implement in a home. I understand the importance of collaboration, and am thrilled to have the opportunity to foster a relationship with parents, their children, and their pets (if any) as a reliable, caring and responsible care provider. I am looking forward to finding a family that would be a great fit!
