I spent the last two years working with adults with developmental disabilities. I coordinated and facilitated different activities that stimulated clients physically and mentally, provided housekeeping duties including client hygiene, cleaning home facilities, preparing meals, and assisting in medication administration. My favorite aspect of my job was spending time with my clients and seeing their knowledge and behaviors improve. I enjoyed working with my clients on proper communication, understanding and processing difficult feelings/emotions, and respecting other's social boundaries. I am CPR certified and have been trained in non-violent crisis intervention through CPI. I am also a licensed massage therapist at Gravity Bodywork, a teaching assistant and substitute teacher at the Myotherapy College of Utah, and I tutor massage therapy students who are preparing for their licensing exam.
