I love children! They can bring so much light and humor to the world! My name is Kate and I have 5+ years of child care experience! My experience began as a swim instructor. I taught children of all ages how to swim and be safe in and around the water. Next, I was a nanny for a family of 3 in upstate New York. I absolutely loved going on walks and imagination play with the kiddos. I also helped around the house with cooking, cleaning and laundry. I also have experience in the child life department at hospitals. Child life is the department that uses play to help children cope with the scary situations and circumstances they might encounter at the hospital. Then for the past 4 years I have been working at a residential treatment center with teenage girls ages 12-18. The youth I have worked with have Read more struggled with anxiety, depression, addiction, eating disorders, family issues, etc. I have been able to build great relationships with them through good boundaries to hold them accountable but also show them that I care about them. I am CPR and first aid certified and I speak fluent Spanish. I look forward to getting to know you and your family!
