Meet Joy

I’ve been working with children all my life. The first time I babysat on my own was when I was 9 years old (it was a very different time). I had many babysitting jobs when I was younger and when I was in high school, I worked in a latchkey job at a local church. This was where children would go after elementary school until their parents were able to pick their children up. In college, I was a longtime frequent caregiver for 1 family and would also work with other families as needed. I held various jobs after college, but I was still caring for children at my local community in the nursery, in Sunday School and in various other programs. One summer, I was a live-in nanny for 1 little girl and the summer after I went on a short term mission trip with Youth for Christ for Read more 6 weeks to work with homeless boys in Kenya. My next professional experience with kids was when I was the live-in director of a group home for teen moms and their children. After a brief stint as a receptionist, I began my first job as a full-time live-out nanny in 2010 and have been on that role ever since.
