I never thought I had it in me but as soon as I started my first aupair job I knew that i had found my passion. Something about being involved in the process of shaping young minds is so empowering to me. I love seeing my kids learn and grow, imaging what wonderful adults they'll grow up to be. During my 2 years of childcare experience (which include au pairing, babysitting and language tutoring) my duties included driving the kids to school and activities, helping with homework; assignments and speeches, running errands for mom, cooking meals, playing outside and keeping the kids active as well as getting the kids to bed on time and/or ready for school in the mornings. I've tutored kids from the ages of 4-15 and can confidently say I know what having patience with busy bodies are like. My family is originally from South-Africa (therefore my Read more home language is Afrikaans which is very similar to Dutch) so besides my experience I also have a cultural exchange to offer.
