Hello I’m Emma, current preschool and infant teacher. I lean towards child-initiated/play-based environment philosophy, which helps children learn self-confidence, trust, creativity, autonomy and acceptance of individual differences. I am energetic and always finding fun activities for kids to do inside and outside. I will start off by saying I have my own class of 4-5 children at a time. So I know plenty of ways to grab attention, assist with social skills, play, learn, and do group nap time (18 months +) or scheduled nap time (typically for infants 0-15 months depending). I also know simple recipes, including homemade infant purée, safe finger foods for toddlers, and/or meals for breakfast/lunch/dinner. I am educated in baby led weaning (CPR certified), and know how to prep a formula/breastmilk bottle. Comfortable with helping do household chores, help with homework, walking pets, or even running an errand or two. I am comfortable going to Read more your house, or your child coming to mine. I do have my own son who is one (16 months), so aside from working in daycares and preschools… I’ve got the experience, references, and certifications to ensure your child will be safe in my care. Currently looking to have my son present with me during the time I’d be nannying (he currently is enrolled in my class at my preschool due to not having my own “nanny.”) please don’t let that deter you from me, I assure you he is no distraction there, nor would he be if I worked for you and your children. He is my priority but as are your children.
