Hi! My name is Erin P. I have recently moved from Memphis, TN to Dallas, TX to be closer to my family. For the past couple of years, I have been working on my master's degree in Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling at the University of Memphis. In the future once I complete the master's program, I will become a licensed mental health therapist so I can work with people with physical, intellectual, and psychological disabilities. However, due to the recent life move to Texas, I have chosen to take at least a year break from graduate school. As a result, I will work as a nanny full time and assist my family as a caretaker. I am caring, empathic, energetic, bubbly, passionate, open minded, and hard working. I exemplify patience, and I am also understanding when working with children. I thrive off of structure and organization, and I also have a Read more "roll with the punches" mentality. I have a good sense of humor and love to make children laugh. One of the children I have worked with recently once told me, "Erin, you are the silliest nanny we have ever had". I have had the privilege to nanny and mentor a variety of children over the past 10 years. My experience includes working with children who have been diagnosed with ODD, ADD/ADHD, PTSD, Depression, Anxiety, and Autism Spectrum Disorder. I have been CPR/First Aid certified multiple times in the past. Additionally, I used to be a certified lifeguard and swim instructor for several years. As a nanny, my goals are to ensure the children are safe while they also have fun. I love incorporating art, music, yoga, physical exercise, emotional/mental health coping strategies, and imaginative play while nannying. Furthermore, as a nanny, I incorporate positive reinforcement as a learning tool with children. I like to foster open and effective communication between myself and the children/family I am nannying for.
