Hello, my name is Isabelle. I came to the U.S. to participate in the au pair program. I lived with the same host family for two years, and I love them dearly; they’re my second family. During these two years, I took care of two teenagers, one of whom has autism and Apraxia of speech, which means she is non-verbal. I helped her with tasks she found challenging, always encouraging her to try first and fostering her independence. She had ABA therapy and speech therapy, and I was always with her to support her. I drove her to all these therapies and other activities. Additionally, I worked with a 21-year-old young adult with autism, picking him up from his adult program, and we spent time together. I am Brazilian and hold a degree in pedagogy. For seven years, I worked in schools, where I was a tutor for a child Read more with Down syndrome and another child with autism. I have extensive experience with children of all ages. I am CPR and first aid certified, a strong driver, and have several local references. I am reliable, flexible, and professional. Currently, I have a full-time job caring for two children, a 4-year-old girl and a 8-year-old boy. I spend all day with them, taking them to activities such as football, soccer, and playdates. I prepare their meals, bathe them, and organize their closets. I often do overnight stays so that their parents can travel for work or pleasure.
