Hello, my name is Krista May and I am a graduate of Ohio University. I am currently 23-years-old and have received my Bachelor of Science in Child and Family Studies, as well as a minor in Community and Public Health and various other certificates/certifications. After graduating in spring 2020, I made the move to Nashville, Tennessee. I began as a full-time Developmental Therapist for children ages 0-3 with delays and/or disabilities through a local non-profit. I currently work as a full-time nanny for the most loving family who have a 3-year-old and a 3-month-old. Prior to Tennessee I have worked as a part-time nanny and as a lead teacher in a early childhood development center. I believe I am highly qualified and different from other applicants because I devoted my entire college career to learning how to care for children and families. I know how children and families learn best Read more and I know a great deal about child development. As a developmental therapist my job was to simply use my knowledge to help children reach those crucial developmental milestones between birth and three years of age. I also have experience working with children all the way up to the age of thirteen, but I am most versed in those ages from newborn to five-years-old. I, too, have picked up bits of knowledge along the way regarding physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech/feeding therapy. Overall, I am a very passionate and hands on caretaker who simply wants the best for both caregiver’s and their children.
