Hello! I am currently looking for a nanny position in the Los Angeles/South Bay area. I have my masters in Clinical Psychology and for the past year have worked in a therapeutic preschool setting as a therapist trainee for 2-5 year olds experiencing behavioral, emotional, and/or developmental delays. There, I aimed to create a warm, trusting, and nurturing environment for the children in order to foster his/her regulatory capacities, relationship building skills, and self esteem. I led and participated in various structured activities with the children ranging from arts and crafts projects, nature walks, dramatic play, floor time, reading time, circle time, relaxation time, outside time, and meal/snack time. I played both one-on-one and in groups with the children in order to increase their emotional well being. I also worked as a camp counselor for two summers where I co-led a group of 4-6 year olds, assisting in swim lessons, Read more art classes, sports lessons, nap time, and so much more. I was a bus monitor for children ranging from 2-14 years old, ensuring their safety during pick up, transport, and drop off. Based on my past work experience and education, I am well versed in child-development. I absolutely love children and working with them and want nothing more than to continue working in child-care. I am fun-loving, responsible, self-motivated, organized, passionate, caring, goofy, and a true child at heart. I love to read, write, cook, and enjoy all outdoor activities. I played many sports growing up and continue to be active today. I am very creative and have a whole library of art project ideas to draw from. I also love drama and imaginative play. Simply put, I love to have fun while providing a nurturing, supportive, and safe environment. :-) I also LOVE animals and grew up with many pets scampering about the house, including dogs, cats, bunnies, guinea pigs, hermit crabs, and fish.
