Been in childcare for over 40 years...CPR, First Aid, all the things :) I started babysitting at a young age and have owned and operated successful in-home licensed childcare until my children (who are now young adults out on their own) needed to start to get to their activities by certain times. I am now in empty nest mode and would really like to be back doing something I love again! I love being active, taking day trips out to the parks, swimming, walking, doing small nature hikes, bike riding, etc. exploring, creating, being silly, and having fun... Redirection and intentional wording surrounded by love...Structure with the opportunity and beauty of flexibility mixed in....is how I would describe my style. There is no age I prefer more or less...there is something with every age that I have loved and enjoyed along the way... I have always served lunch and snacks Read more which I would menu plan, so this is an area I am completely comfortable with as well... In regards to animals...I do love them too, however, if they are big dogs, walking them is not something I would do unless they were completely trained to not dart off on the leash :) Happy to let them in and out of the house as needed! And I wouldn't do any pit bulls, rottweilers, or other dogs not usually covered by homeowners insurance. Essentially, any child that I care for, I treat and feel for them as if I am their Aunt...because I know there is no love like a Mothers's/Fathers love and that can not ever be replaced...I have nieces and nephews and know the love of an Aunt is just as fierce and unconditional....So I choose to vision each child I care for in this way...
