Hi! My name is Jenny Norman and I am the proud mom of three teenaged kids. I love being a mom! Professionally, I am a retired professional ballet dancer who has been teaching ballet for over twenty years. Currently, I am employed by the Carolina Ice Palace (my daughter is a competitive figure skaters) where I cross train figure skaters, ages 3 - adult. I earned my Bachelor degree from Indiana University, where I trained intensely for a career as a ballet dancer. As a high school and college student, and as a young professional, I baby sat for families as often as I was able. As a long time resident of Mt Pleasant, I have taught ballet for many studios including: Charleston Ballet Theater Center for Dance, Peace Love Hip Hop, Creative Edge Dance Center and self employed for private lessons out of modest studio in my home. My Read more students and their parents love my positive energy and patience. I love to help young students, and their parents, find the joy of movement and dance! I am Adult/Pediatric CPR/AED and First Aid Certified through the American Cross. I have limited Spanish and French fluency; currently taking online courses for varying skills. I also love to play and care for young children. I love planning activities for play at home (I can help kids build great train tracks and I love arts and crafts) and I love watching kids discover the beauty of nature. I am a very strong swimmer, I even enjoy synchronized swimming. Children's literature is the best, and of course, I love to dance and sing with young ones! I can provide references upon request.
