Hi! I’m Christine. I’m 30 and just recently made the move from upstate New York (Albany) to Charleston with my fiancé and our golden retriever, Vino. We enjoyed visiting Charleston so much we decided to make it our forever home. A few years ago I was in a grad school program to become a mental health counselor. While working on this, I started nannying and quickly fell in love with providing care for children. So much so that I withdrew from my grad school program to pursue being a full time nanny and babysitter. Throughout my time working in childcare I’ve had the privilege of working with many amazing kids (3 months old to 7 years old) and their families. By creating a warm and welcoming environment, I always aim to make the children feel comfortable, secure and have lots of fun. I understand every child is unique in their own way with different personalities and learning styles, which is why it’s crucial to be able to adjust my approach with each child. I diligently follow parents’ schedules with the children and their parenting styles. Making this huge life decision to step away from a career I thought I wanted to work with kids has been the most incredibly rewarding and fulfilling experience. Being able to have a positive influence on their little developing minds is incomparable. In my free time I love to be outside with my dog, go for walks, go to Target (right, mom’s?), find new and unique restaurants with my fiancé, and watch some good crime shows.
