I'm a graduate of College of Charleston, where I studied English, Comparative Literature and Women's and Gender Studies. I'm extremely passionate about poetry and the arts, as well as activism and social & environmental sustainability. While I don't have extensive experience with being a nanny, I was a teacher in the infant room at a pre-school in James Island & absolutely loved the experience. I spent a lot of time volunteering at a local elementary school teaching very young under-served Charleston children how to read! I was in charge of leading the very young children in local plays when I was a part of the Colleton County Children's Theatre. And best of all, taking care of and teaching my sister's 2.5 year old son has been one of the best experiences of my life! I hope to eventually teach Creative Writing & Poetry to young children, and know that instilling Read more creativity, kindness and the importance of play and joy in children is what I want to do with my life!
