I am a 43 year mother of two who absolutely LOVES children - I look forward to being a positive influence in your child(ren)'s lives! I have cared for children my entire life, first as the eldest of five kids in a close knit, fun-filled family and later as a nanny/babysitter and with children of my own. I majored in English in college and have a very creative streak I love to share with kids under my care. I also love the outdoors/nature and welcome any opportunity to foster this in children (I've climbed mountains on multiple continents, ski, rock climb, hike etc.). I also adore animals so if you have pets that is an added bonus. I have spent stints of my professional life working overseas in Asia and Africa, on projects to provide safe drinking water to rural communities and improve rates of school attendance among girls. I Read more am very well-traveled and culturally conversant and enjoy using these experiences to expose children to diverse cultures. I am easy going but very responsible, happy to help with housework and enthusiastic about designing fun and educational activities for kids I care for. I am equally adept at helping with homework, baking cupcakes or just doing tummy time on the rug with your infant. Being a sitter is about more than just watching your child - its about adding to their (and your) quality of life and look forward to an opportunity to do so,.
