Why do you love being a sitter? I love being a sitter because it allows me to create meaningful connections with children and families. Watching kids grow, develop new skills, and express their creativity is incredibly rewarding. I enjoy creating a safe and fun environment where kids feel encouraged to explore, learn, and just be themselves. It’s amazing to know I can play a part in their development and bring a positive impact to their day. What experience do you have? I’ve worked at the YMCA for four years in various roles, including camp counseling, before- and after-school child care programs, and pre-K child care. Through these experiences, I’ve worked with kids of all ages, planned engaging activities, and built strong relationships with both children and their families. I’ve managed everything from group activities to one-on-one care, and I’m confident in handling different situations that come with working with kids. Read more What skills and training do you have? Over the years, I’ve developed skills in behavior management, conflict resolution, and creating age-appropriate activities. I’m also trained in safety protocols and have experience managing groups of children in both structured and unstructured settings. Additionally, I am CPR and First-Aid certified. My background has helped me become patient, adaptable, and attentive to the unique needs of every child I work with.
