I am a 24-year-old Rhode Islander who is imaginative, active, educated, and compassionate. Although I have been caring for children in some capacity all my life, my professional childcare journey began with a remarkable six-year experience working for a family with four children. When I joined this family, the triplets were five years old, and their older brother was seven. This role was an incredible learning opportunity as I supported them through various stages of development over those six years. To excel in this position, I needed an acute understanding of child development and the ability to adapt to each child's evolving emotional, educational, and developmental needs. My innate patience, adaptability, and keen observational skills allowed me to personalize my approach to each child's unique growth journey. My naturally empathetic and nurturing demeanor allows me to establish a comfortable and trusting relationship with the children I care for. When necessary, I am firm in enforcing rules and boundaries, always ensuring that children understand the "why" behind these rules. This unique balance of qualities greatly enhances my effectiveness as a caregiver. My love for learning and exploration fuels my creativity when implementing educational activities. My degree in philosophy enhanced my strong moral compass, helping me instill ethical values in the children I care for, and honed my critical thinking skills, an invaluable asset to quick conflict resolution. Additionally, I have an academic background in child development and psychology coursework and a TEFL certification, providing a well-rounded foundation for my role as a nanny.
