I’m a 23-year-old graduated artist and art researcher from Carnegie Mellon University. My interests in art education and history have been shaped by a multitude of private and public arts education programming since early childhood. * I am in the process of moving, so am only looking for Brooklyn and Manhattan based positions at this time. With 2+ years of experience under my belt, I’ve worked with children from as young as 6 months to 12 years in age. Additionally, I have 2+ years conducting art lessons with students’ grades K-12, alongside university teaching assistantship. I have 10+ years’ experience in painting (all mediums) and maintain a professional studio practice outside of my part-time sitting/tutoring roles. My artistic expertise ranges from one-on-one drawing and painting fundamentals (such as atelier training, figurative/life drawing, painting, etc.), to less intensive private group lessons for birthday parties and special events. This is sometimes an activity or experience I fold into my sitting methodology, because I want to be able to engage and culturally enrich all the children I work with (and that can be done through food in some ways!). English is my primary language, but I am also a native Russian and Ukrainian speaker, and intermediate in French.
