Where to start? Erin has been simply outstanding over the past 9.5 YEARS with us! She's helped raise our two children (currently 9yo boy and 5yo girl) better than we could ever have expected or imagined. She was there at the beginning of our children's lives and guided them both through each step of development. She individualized her approach to each kid and fostered their creativity and desire to learn. I'll give a few of the MANY examples of her going above and beyond for our family. During COVID, she set up a mini school classroom in our morning room when we decided to delay kindergarten for our son. She bought and hung educational posters, made crafts to demonstrate weather, printed out activity sheets, and even researched the best way to prepare a child for kindergarten. Our son has autism and ADHD, which is challenging for him and us. Erin has been so very good with him. She knows all of his sensitivities, routines, preferences, and fears. Before we were contacted by the Kelly Clarkson Show at age five, our son was super into memorizing country flags. Erin made crafts, purchased desktop flags, created artwork, and completely indulged his fascination. Shortly thereafter, she used blue painters tape (with our permission, of course) to construct a map of the United States on our kitchen floor to encourage our son's learning by making it fun and interactive. Both kids are attached to Miss Erin and truly love her. She's become part of our family and has never let us down, which says a lot after almost a decade of loyal service. Once of her primary goals is to be dependable and she achieves that daily. My extended family knows Erin and her name has actually become a term to describe the ultimate nanny. When referencing what someone is looking for, they'll say, "We need to find an Erin." She was born to do this and we couldn't be more pleased that we found her.
