After graduating from Saint Vincent College with a degree in Communications , I worked in the banking industry for fifteen years. Growing up with two teachers as parents, I found myself having a passion for working with children. After following my heart and making a career change, I recently celebrated my tenth year working at a local church run preschool / childcare center. It’s the same center that my children attended when I worked part time in banking. I always loved their childcare program and recently joined their preschool team in 2020. My husband and I are now empty nesters and we have moved into the next chapter. I’m finding I now have more time and flexibility to do nannying full time. I am looking for a long term position with a welcoming family.

I love being a sitter because I love helping teach kids and helping them learn new things! I started watching kids when a friend was looking for help for a relative, and I was between long-term substitute positions. I worked with that family for six years. I then did another long-term substitute position and Covid hit. I was lucky enough to find another wonderful family to work for during the past two years, but the youngest just started full day kindergarten. Hello my name is Deb and I have always loved taking care of children. I started babysitting at a young age and have continued to do so over the years. I have an associate degree in Elementary Ed. My background consists of many years in the medical field as a Medical Assistant. I worked in a level one trauma center emergency room for eleven years. I left there to work in a pediatric office. I worked nine years in the pediatric office. I have been away from that job since 2013. In December 2019 I switched gears and started working in a daycare/preschool. While there I worked with different ages from infants to school age children. Most recently I had been working in the infant room where I tended to three months old through twelve months old. I really enjoyed my time there and became close with the infants. Since I have been a young girl my career goal has always been to work with children in one capacity or another. I am a very nurturing person, my family and friends have always trusted me to take care of their children. In 2018 I watched my husband’s cousin’s baby who at the time was two years old. I watched him several days a week for up to ten hours a day while his parents worked. I continued to babysit him up until December of 2019, when I had to take a full time job. Childcare has always been my passion.
