Hello! My name is Bekah and I am a recent graduate of George Fox University. I graduated with my bachelors in theatre with an Acting/Directing concentration and will be continuing to pursue my acting career post-college. I am looking at nannying jobs because I love the hours and being around kids fills me up and truly gives me joy. I have a background in Linguistics and Elementary Education before becoming a theatre major, and have worked several jobs in the childcare field. By the age of 15 I was leading classes at my church and was hired on as Sunday school staff. I was a teacher's aid for several classrooms in high school and did two separate practicums for teaching as well. I worked in a learning center as a lead for a little under a year and was a private nanny for a summer as well. I am the Read more oldest girl in a family of 8 children, and have been around all ages my entire life. I have experience in curriculum development and am semi-fluent in Spanish. I have travelled with as much as I can and even lead a mission trip to the Dominican Republic where I served as a teacher and a translator. I also am a musician and have worked in children's music education as well. I believe in kids. I believe that they are capable of much more than we allow. I believe in allowing kids to learn by failing and to feel big emotions without judgement. I believe that everyone deserves kindness. I also believe that we have a lot to learn from children. I am strict and believe that rules allow kids to more freely express their needs and personalities, and I think they are capable of talking through their tumultuous lives if you aid them.
