I am a professional nanny, family assistant, doula, and tutor. I have over fifteen years of professional childcare experience. I have extensive experience caring for children of all ages and those with special needs. I am an accomplished family assistant, doula, and tutor as well. I excel in all aspects of childcare, including play, maintaining and organizing inventory, organization and cleanliness, meal preparation, and executing developmental and educational activities. I am flexible and happy to assist in any way I can. I have extensive medical training, including first aid and CPR. I am an experienced swimmer and am certified in water safety through the American Red Cross. I am fully vaccinated against Covid-19 and very cautious. To achieve these goals, I practice what I call "anthropological commonsense," which in execution is a mix of gentle parenting, Montessori theory, biological reality, and practices I've learned through experience. Intuition, empathy, scholarship, service, flexibility, communication, and passion are core values essential in my caregiving practices. I believe each child is unique and deserves care informed by their needs and temperaments. I earned my BA and a graduate certificate from Case Western Reserve University in Anthropology, focusing on medical anthropology and global health, emphasizing maternal child studies. I graduated summa cum laude and am a member of Phi Beta Kappa. I earned these degrees, became a skilled academician educator, and mastered critical thinking and organization. Anthropology provides an invaluable lens through which children and families are understood as precious, complex interconnected systems. The care they deserve is informed by biology, culture, and continual research. My degrees allow me to approach all services I provide with mastery and reverence.
