I have two children of my own. Daughter 16 and son 20. My son is diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, and I have been his predominant caregiver since birth. He went from being non-verbal and behind on all skills at 4 when he was diagnosed, to being a very happy healthy 20 yr old young man. I am so proud of him. I started caring for children at 11 yrs old. I grew up on a farm and am the oldest girl in the family, so I took care of the little ones while everyone worked. I also would cook lunch for the farmhands and keep the house clean. I cared for children professionally through college as a nanny and tutor. I am proficient at tutoring to a high school level. I can tutor in select advanced classes and college classes as well. I have a culinary arts degree with Read more an emphasis on nutrition and cultural food. In my last professional job, I was a nutritional consultant for Iron Man athletes. I do not mind cooking, cleaning, laundry, errands, and doctors appointment for the family I care for. I have had first aid and CPR certification but don't currently have it. I would be happy to retrain.
