Hi! My name is Kyra, and I love working with young children. I am currently a preschool teacher in Hilliard. I’m looking to transition out of the classroom in favor of providing care to 1-2 little ones in their own home, or mine :) I have worked in childcare for 5 years, and attended Columbus State for Early Childhood Education & Development. I am up to date on all state mandated trainings and CPR/First Aid certified. During my time in school I developed a strong passion for nurturing children’s curiosity and sense of exploration. I know that children learn through play, and I believe that forming a secure attachment with caregivers set kids up for the confidence they need to grow socially, emotionally, and later, academically! On top of my professional experience, I am also a mama to a sweet and curious 9 month old boy who has taught me so many practical skills! As a parent, I know how hard it is to choose a trustworthy caregiver. I promise that I will treat your child with the same loving care I give my own, every day. I am hoping to connect with a family that will allow me to bring my son along for the ride! He is a flexible and social baby who loves playing with others and making new friends. I have plenty of experience providing care for multiple children at once without favoring any child over another, even when my own child is present.
