Hello, My name is Irene, though for most of the year I’m known as Mx. Brimm by my kids, as I’m an elementary art teach for most months of the year. I normally teach summer school, but I wanted to have a more one to one (or one to five, however your family works) experience. I love doing art projects, going on nature walks, and discovering things along the way. I am an interactive kind of person with kids; I want their activities to be multi-modal. When I was in college I studied arts integration- which is the idea that children learn best when both their left and right brain are stimulated; whether this is from tactile touch or creating- I want their days to be full of immersive activities that leave an impact and help them become better future versions of themselves. They both have to exist in order to thrive. Our kids are the next greatest leaders, creators, designers, doctors, and innovators in this world, and I feel blessed just to be a part of their journey.
