Hi, My name is Kamela. I was born to work with children. At age 14 I was babysitting every weekend and full time in the summers. I still feel very grateful that I can get paid doing what I love most! Most recently I was a nanny in Asheville,NC (I have just relocated to Northport.) to two girls 12 and 16. I also have a Huntington, Ny reference, and others if needed. I have been a caregiver for the past year, as I couldn’t find work as a nanny. Back in the 80's and 90's I worked a ton of nanny gigs while I was going to school in NYC. I have been a nanny for over 20 years and am a mother to a child in college. I am CPR certified. My favorite activities are hiking, bicycling, outdoor and indoor games, scavenger hunts, dancing, putting on plays, arts and Read more crafts, food prep, hide and seek, special holiday projects, reading etc. I like to do pretty much everything. I love to cook and am great at getting the kids off to school. I have a background in educational theatre, early childhood development, and nutrition. I also have worked in sales and marketing for many years, as an alternative career. Ideally I would like to work with school age kids after school until 7 or 8. I'm also available for weekends. Working with kids is fun, exciting and meaningful. I can't think of a more rewarding or important career. I look forward to hearing from you.
