I am a fashion merchandising/ Spanish major at Kent State University. Now I know you're probably thinking something along the lines of "Oh? why is a fashion student trying to be a nanny?" but I promise I have quite a bit of experience and truly have a passion for working with children. For the past 2 years I have worked at a local elementary school as a "tutor." I take pride in working with the teachers, and students with whatever they needed help with, and just providing positive support whenever needed. I cannot describe the feeling of gratification I get from working with these awesome kids and I can only hope that I get to continue to have such experiences! Last summer I worked at daycare, and wore many hats in that position as well. I would bounce from the infant room all the way to the school age room, Read more planning activities, preparing meals, rocking babies, and going on fun field trips! I also have worked with countless families in my home town, one in particular watching a 14-year-old boy, and an 11-year-old girl before and after school, in the evenings and on the weekends. I would provide transportation to and from school and to activities. Finally, along with having professional experience with kids, I also have three little sisters, which can sometimes be a job in and of itself! I am CPR/First Aid certifies, have a clean driving record, and am able to pass a background check with flying colors! Although I am not an education or early childhood development major, my experiences in the elementary school, in the daycare, and with the families I have worked for, have undoubtedly sparked a passion in me for working with children. I am creative, outgoing, empathetic, and driven to give the best child care I can give, and will go above and beyond to give your children the most amazing experience possible, because after all it really is about the kids! :)
Trust & safety
We encourage parents to conduct their own screenings using the background check tools. See what each of the badges covered, or learn more about keeping your family safe by visiting the Trust & Safety Center.
