I am an aspiring school and clinical child psychologist who will be beginning my doctoral studies at Pace University in September 2022. I graduated from New York University in May 2021 with my MA in School Counseling, and from Stony Brook University in May 2019 with my BA in Psychology. Throughout my undergraduate and graduate career, I have completed various practica and internship positions which allowed me to learn how to provide culturally-informed child-centered counseling and psychotherapy to young children and adolescents in an individual and group setting. I also collaborate continuously with parents, teachers, and other school staff, and build on my professional development with the help of my supervisors and professors. I am constantly committed to analyzing my own academic, professional, and personal competencies and remain passionate about learning alongside the children and adolescents that I have the pleasure to work with both in and outside of school. Read more I briefly babysat my neighbor's two (now teenage) daughters while I was in high school, and I also briefly babysat a NYU professor's elementary-aged son two years ago when I was finishing up my degree. I love exploring and building upon my creativity very much with young children and adolescents! A great example would be the time where I created a "pretend-play" pizza parlour from scratch for my pre-school/daycare internship in my junior year of my undergraduate career. I spent hours cutting fake pizza toppings from fabric, drove to my neighbourhood pizza parlour to ask for a donation of some cardboard boxes, cut and painted a cardboard oven, and drew/laminated fake menus for my classroom's 3-5 year olds. I really love going above and beyond to make sure children get to be themselves, ask questions, advocate, and learn new skills. I would love the opportunity to bring my passion into any family that is looking to hire me :)
