Hello, my name is Madison and I want to make a fun and safe environment for your children this summer! I am 22 years old with a bachelors degree in Art History and French. I am fluent in French and English. I have a clean drivers license and a car that I am willing to use for the job if needed. References are available upon request. I am currently work as a part time caretaker for an elderly couple and a part substitute teacher instructing all ages and grades. I have grown to love early childhood education. In my past experience with children and caretaking, I worked as an assistant art teacher in the Summer Art Lab program at the Nassau County Museum of Art in 2022. I instructed large groups of students ages 5-12, encouraging creativity and self- expression through various art forms and media. As a teacher and Read more caretaker, I aim to highlight children’s strengths, support their needs, and celebrate the individuality of each child so that they can achieve learning objectives and individual goals. I have learned to adapt curriculum and experiences to all students and promote an encouraging environment. To care for a child is to know them as individuals and to know how to meet their needs. It is so important to empower and uplift children by celebrating who they are as learners of this world and as people. Along with teaching, I have provided care for numerous people of all ages including elderly people and infants since 2018. In addition, I have worked numerous tourism jobs in which I am responsible for managing large groups of all ages to ensure safe environments. This includes giving educational talks and tours, monitoring art and wildlife exhibitions. In 2016, as a part of the education department I assisted in leading the children's Summer Adventure day camp. I was entrusted to lead the aftercare program, communicating with parents and monitoring children until pick up.
