Hi there! My name is Annabelle and I’m a recent university graduate originally from Austin, Texas. In college, I studied film and English with a focus on education and children’s media! While I have limited nanny experience, I student taught for two years at elementary schools with seven year olds, middle schools with 11 year olds, and high school with 14 year olds, so I’m experienced with a variety of age groups. I always loved getting to know my students individually and learning what made them special - i firmly believe all children have the potential to be creative, unique, and truly themselves if they’re given the correct care and kindness. After long-term substitute teaching for a year, I realized that while I do love working with kids, the common core often prevented me from teaching my students in a way that would benefit them individually and leave a lasting Read more impact. With forty minutes per class and thirty students, it’s difficult to make sure every student feels safe, comfortable and enriched. As a nanny, I have the opportunity to do what I love: work with a child or children on a more individual level, getting to know them in order to help them grow socially, intellectually, and emotionally.
