As an artist I am always getting in touch with my inner child. I find children inspiring and exciting to be around; spending time with kids genuinely brightens my mood and adds value to my life. I am a very outgoing person, known by parents for helping kids to come out of their shells and try new things. I studied theater in college and am a working actor. I also perform for children at festivals/private events and have directed numerous shows performed for and by kids. I love to do arts and crafts, paint faces, play dress up and other imagination based games. I am a great cook and enjoy making meals at home. I am reliable, good for short notice calls, a great hand to have around the house to keep things tidy and the kids entertained. I have recently babysat/nannied for 3 families, the Cimmino family, Majzlin family, Read more and the Carloss Family. I nannied Luna age 5 for 2 months while I was briefly living in LA to study Improvisation. I cared for her from 9am until 3-4pm varied days during the week and every Saturday. We would spend our time outside at the park or the beach on nice days and inside playing games and creating things together on the no so nice days. I was also responsible for feeding or packing her lunch, pickups and drop-offs from school and other events like birthday parties and after school activities. I would help to organize gifts and costumes for parties and events, as well as provide supervision at these events. Another point of my experience as a child care provider came when I cared for the children of the Carloss family, Che and Quinn ages 5 and 7 at the start of my two summers spent with them. I would start at about 8am and go into the evening when a parent got home from work. Some nights I would cook dinner, but mostly just breakfast and lunch. The kids also attended art camp in the town where I was responsible for picking them up and dropping them off. Together we would frequent the pool and local river and beaches. Some days we would spend inside doing arts and crafts, building forts, or playing games like hide and seek or go fish. I provided light housekeeping, helping to keep their rooms tidy and the kitchen and playroom clean and organized.
